This section will show you some of the ways we use the kiln in our work. Our kiln runs on electricity and we usually only operate it during the winter months. An average load in the kiln will take about 6 to 9 hours to heat up and do its thing. Once that is complete it takes about 12 to 16 hours to cool down. We try to arrange things so the cool down takes place over night and that way we have a surprise in the morning. Our kiln is a Duncan Pro Boss and it was purchased at a local auction.
